Sri Lanka, is known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean and on this tour you’ll discover why!
Smile... Our Sri Lanka tour starts at the world famous Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. You’ll definitely need your camera here as we watch the young elephants play, eat palm leaves, drink bottles of milk and bath in the river. It's an unforgettable experience.
Enjoy the tropical scenery From here we explore Sri Lanka’s secluded monastic ruins of Ritigala. Located in a lush forest the ruins are hidden within a beautiful forest setting of streams and pools. Next stop Sigiriya, here we’ll visit the famous rock fortress, considered one of the wonders of the ancient world.
Soak up the atmosphere We head to the coast next, stopping at Kandy on the way, if you take this tour in July it’s here you’ll experience the colourful Kandy festival. When we arrive at the coast you’ll love the relaxed atmosphere, stunning beaches and crystal clear waters.
2009 Kandy Festival Escorted by Frank Bunnik departs 28 July Be there as 100 decorated elephants and thousands of dancers, drummers, torch bearers and whip crackers weave their way through the colourful streets of Kandy. Please refer to dates & pricing for applicable tour cost

"We have just done the Sri Lankan tour wth Frank & Penelope on 8th August. It is the first tour we have ever done & we were impressed. We saw and did so much, a great mix of culture, scenery, local people & markets etc. We would never have done so much getting around on our own. Frank's passion for Sri Lanka and its people are evident and Penelope must be a great asset to your company with her great personality and knowledge. We loved Sri Lanka, its culture, beautiful smiley people & the scenery is fantastic. The Kandy pageant was amazing, an event to remember for a lifetime - next year you'll see us again -hopefully on South America or Mexico/Cuba." Di & Barry S. - NSW
